Are We Tuned to Him?

“Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other?

They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow." AW Tozer.

This was one of the powerful quotes used by Jon Nicholson last night as he taught and led us to raise up the Tabernacle of David.

Doubtless you have heard of David's Tabernacle but Jon brought to light the salient and immediate application of how we establish it as individuals and as a body.

David committed massive focus, money, time, and personnel into that worship: The result was a Golden Age for Israel in prosperity, peace, and blessings.

And if it was true for them back then, why not for us?

Worship has always been central to this House - We host The Presence, stand in awe, and remember that it is ALL about Him.

And as we do, this tuning fork dynamic comes into play:

"So one hundred worshipers meet together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be, were they to become 'unity' conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship.” (Tozer, The Pursuit of God: The Human Thirst for the Divine.)
