Breaking Off the Delilah Daily Grind

This 10th biblical month is linked to Samson (Tribe of Dan) and therefore to Delilah.

Delilah is a Dalet name so we are wise this year to take a hard look at the kind of slow siege strategy she embodies.

When the enemy comes in guns blazing, we usually see it and we've become adept to war against it.

But when it is a granular and gradual grind of 'just another...' little disappointment, small doubt, repeated irritation, etc., we miss the red flag.

LIke the story of the frog in the kettle with the slow build up of heat, we grow accustomed to this attack without realizing what it is.

It frequently sets a fog around our minds, or an acceptance within our bodies, (or finances) that it's simply 'the way it is.'

TIME FOR THAT TO STOP!

While we're convinced that Samson could have / should have stopped all conversation with Delilah, we keep unwittingly close company with that which is out to kill us.

Last night at The Deck, I asked how many felt like there was some kind of siege against them.

A few raised their hands.

Truth: This strategy is leveled against each and every one of us - but we don't see it for what it is.

ENOUGH!

Get your eyes up, ask the Lord about it, and allow Him to show you what's really going on.

It's time to break off the Delilah daily grind.

Time to take back that territory and thrive.

Stephen
