Just WHO Do You Think You Are?

The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters! Rom 8

We are transfigured by the Spirit of the Lord in ever-increasing splendor into his own image. 2 Cor 3

So IF those verses are true, then why do we see so little of that intense, glorious, powerful identity in ourselves?

There is a progression of how we show up and are fully present in any given moment.

• How we function flows from which identity we're operating from.

• That identity flows from the authority we align with.

• Our attention on a moment-by-moment basis determines whether which authority is forming and informing our identity.

"Hey, but wait a minute! I know I'm a child of God! That never changes."

Yeah, well, then why don't you consistently act like it? Sometimes you move in the full confidence of the kid of the King.

But sometimes you act like a fearful orphan who has to grab, grasp, and fight for everything they need. What's with that?

Our attention is key: ‘What we give our attention to is the person we become.’ *

There is a fight to be fully present to Him and who He says we are: A striving to enter into the Rest.

Most of that fight comes in how we manage the ongoing assault of distractions.
