You - God's One-Percenter
It seemed like a good idea at the time. Gideon called for battle so you and 32,000 neighbors and countrymen showed up.
But when 22,000 left and another 9,700 followed, the shocking reality dawned: Only 300? I'm a one-percenter? Yikes!
God's typical selection pattern meant that they were likely a ragtag group similar to those who would gather to David in the cave or as Paul described the Corinthians: Foolish, puny, powerless, lowly, and laughable... and chosen by God.
God's One-Percenters are not usually spiritual rock stars or well known because He likes it that way.
Rather, like Gid's gang, they are those tired of what was, hungry for more, ready to obey, and willing to stand in the gap with nothing but a torch and a horn.
Not 'better' but assigned to fight the fight so that HIs Kingdom breaks in and a nation is saved.
Wondering if you are one of God's One-Percenters for today?
In the Spirit, you'd rather fly, than drive - be a fighter pilot than a commercial cruiser.
The Lord formed this outpost as an aircraft carrier and gave us the mission to help gather, mobilize, equip, and engage a 300 for the battle for the greater good.
And, indeed, we are a ragtag rabble who simply love Him and will do the crazy He commands.
Our question to you is this: What do you need from us to help you engage your assignment?
For like it or not, you are a one-percenter.
For you have a voice to shout, a sound to release, light to shine, and a place to stand.
Stephen
